obviously nothing has been going on here for a few months, and i’m not sure when exactly things will pick up again. But in the meantime check out my personal ramblings and random postings on my tumblr “Music Blogging Is Too Hard” (cute right?) and also follow me on Twitter.

I am planning on re launching the site very shortly. I need something new, something exciting to get me back into writing on a more regular basis. I am sitting on a stack of albums that need to get reviewd and most i dig (if you’re waiting for a review sorry!!!).
so expect a whole new re launch sometime in the near future.
Hey all-
I feel like I have more posts apologizing for not updating, than actual content. This is quite sad. Things have been quite hectic for me over here as of recent times, been super busy at work so much so that I don’t even want to open my computer when I get home. While being busy is a good thing, It really fucks with me trying to be a “blogger”. Although I hardly ever really considered myself a true blogger (that’s way too 2.0 for me). So if you have sent me something for review/news to post, etc I’m sorry.
What to expect in the near future – a review for City Of Ships – Live Free Or Don’t Tour 12″. I spun this a few times on friday and loved it. So in the mean time swing by their Myspace page to peep some tracks.
Also if I’m in here why not post a few jams right?
The Misfits – Hollywood Babylon
Four Year Strong – Prepare To Be Digitally Manipulated
Every Time I Die – No Son Of Mine
Braid – Never Will Come For Us
(If it seems like I post alot of the same artists/albums recently, it’s because I have a limited selection of music on my work computer)
As Tall As Lions are hard at work on their new record “You Can’t Take It With You”. I am eagerly awaiting this record. These dudes are some of the most talented people I know. So peep the update and enjoy.
Also a bonus/hilarious video

Label – Forcefield Records

RIYL -Orchid, Off Minor, Circle Takes The Square
Wow, glad I popped this record on first out of the 13 LPs I have sitting on top of my record shelf waiting for spins. Outclassed is a five piece screamo (in its truest form) band out of Pittsburgh Pa. Outside of the layout of the LP/CDEP being awesome, this band hits you over the head right out of the gate, breathing a breath of fresh air into what has seemingly been a stale style of music over the past few years. Fast hard hitting bass lines and drums lay the backbone to intricate guitar lines and spot on vocals. With nods to the “Level-Plane” and Ebullition” sound, This Could Be Coincidence is a chaotic and emotionally charging album. Makes me feel like I’m at a Saturday matinee at ABC No Rio. This albums only downfall is that it’s only five songs.
Thank you Outclassed for reaffirming that this style is still alive with bands that are not just Saetia clones.
Here is a track from the album (it’s only 5 songs so you’re only getting 1. don’t be cheap buy this shit, its only $7.50):

I love Glassjaw, and still have hope that their “new record” will see the light of day. Worship and Tribute is a masterpiece of post hardcore goodness (in my opinion of course). With all that aside who doesn’t love B- Sides???
Enjoy
Glassjaw – Midwestern Stylings
Whats good people?
So for the past 8 months I have been working at a major label that did not allow me to access my normal file hosting site to post mp3’s. This caused a drastic drop in posts (that on top of me having alot of work to do). So today I decided that I’d bite the bullet and fucking man up and buy some hosting space. So now expect more posts containing mp3’s. So to kick this off I have a few mp3’s kicking around my work computer so why not post a mix right?
Hope you enjoy!
The Promise Ring - B Is For Bethlehem
Thieves and Villains- Settle New York, Settle
Grade – Second Chance At First Place
Further Seems Forever – A New Desert Life
As always if you like what you hear, please support the artist and pick up their record.

i really suck at blogging. content soon, as promised.
Hey all -
So 2009 is now upon us which is cool I guess. 2008 was a solid year for me no real complaints. The holiday season was good too, Just hung out at my parents house upstate for 2 weeks and chilled. I don’t believe in “New Years Resolutions”, but I am trying to better my life in 2009. I guess these things can been seen as resolutions, I consider it good timing. so here’s a brief list of things I’m working on in life.
- Loosing weight, getting into better shape
I am the heaviest I’ve been in about 4 years. not good. my goal is 65 lbs, wish me luck! - Get my finances in order and save more.
This is tough because I love to buy shit. - Play more guitar
Ever since I stopped being in a band I’ve played so much less - Listen to more new music
I say this as I’m currently listening to Rollins Band
- Update on a regular basis with real content!
Word is Bond.
So that is that. Wish me luck, I’ll need it. Maybe I’ll be like Henry Rollins and end every post with what I ate that day. Just Kidding. Maybe I’ll just go on the his diet from “A Dull Roar”.
