Blackstar songs=awesome
Rakim = He’s a Legend
Public Enemy = brought the noise
Cypress Hills = loves weed
Wu-Tang = was amazing and played about 90 songs in an hour. it was the best thing ever.
Rage = Was so fucking good. looked they they never stopped playing.
V.I.P Tickets = Best thing ever
The Rain = sucked but i had a coat
Walking back to Manhattan = wasn’t as bad as it sounds.
All in all the show was amazing. I’m tired and sore. Maybe i’ll post something better later but for now enjoy this:
I just got home from seeing Kevin Devine with Jesse Lacy (yea yea whatever i dig brand new fight me). The show was awesome. I especially dug Kevin Devine’s set. I had heard about him awhile back and got into his album ‘Circle Get The Square”. His music is just honest indie rock. Long story short his latest work “Put Your Ghost To Rest” was just released on vinyl via Academy Fight Song Records . So do yourself a favor and pick up this album. I leave you with this video. its for my favorite song ‘Fingerprints and Photographs”. while in this video you hear the crowd more but fuck it the song is still awesome.
This is an article about the best thing the Cleveland Indians ever did. So if you like mayhem, debauchery, and beer, check this article out.
Also be sure to check out the “see also” at the bottom of the page
i promise no more wiki articles tonight!
As of July 23, 2007 the members of Fugazi have finalized a deal for a one-off show at Fort Reno Park in Washington, DC to take place Monday, September 3, 2007. This show coincides with the release of Glen Friedman’s book as well as the 20th anniversary of Fugazi’s first show
if this news is true i will be a very happy happy man. I have tried to see Fugazi countless times but being too young, shit falling through, and other bullshit i never had the opportunity to. If i come across any other news about this i will be sure to post it.
Here is a great Wikipedia entry about a wonderful place known as Action Park.
Enjoy
I was thinking about what labels seem to put out awesome bands/records. So I decided that i would put together a series of posts about labels I’m into. This one is dedicated to Jade Tree Records. They have put out records for some of the most influential bands ever. These are just a few of their amazing albums. so do whatcha gotta do to get a copy (preferably buy it).
So the background on this band is basically this : current and ex members of Reach The Sky and Rise Against. So i decided to check out their EP on pure volume. Their bio said it best “We are not trying to reinvent the wheel with what we are doing, we are just trying to stick to the values and ideals of the bands that came before us and create something honest.”. They play some good fun time hardcore punk rock in the same vein of their previous and or current efforts. i really dig these songs so check them out here
