So first let’s give a brief back history on the band. Two friends [Nathan Ellis and Mike Reed] who had previously toured together in their respective bands The Casket Lottery and Small Brown Bike. So after both bands had called it quits they decided to come together and form a new band with Mike Reed’s brother Ben Reed as well as former Small Brown Bike drummer Jeff Gensterblum.

This record starts off with the track “October” which sets the tone for the rest of the record. As the record progresses there is an amazing balance of sounds from the members’ prior bands. Now sometimes wearing your previous efforts on your sleeves can be bad but in this case it is done tastefully. Raw vocals, melodic guitar work and hard-hitting bass lines drive this record. There seriously isn’t one bad song on this album. You may think that my opinion of this record is slightly biased based on my love for both Small Brown Bike and Casket Lottery, but this record is truly a breath of fresh air in a rather stale climate of music we currently live in. So do your self a huge favor and pre order the record its well worth the $12. I also think they will be shipping the CD version before street date so be the coolest kid on your block and get this early! I will be ordering the vinyl version ASAP.

Here are a few tracks that i really dig. Check them out here
