Red Leader is slowly becoming one of my favorite labels out there. Scream Hello is a four piece band hailing from New Brunswick NJ. “Smart & Stupid” has a very fun sound. I had a hard time nailing the RIYL because I hear so many different elements in the music. Its a fun upbeat punk rock record (minus the song “Seventeen” which is almost a piano ballad at first).  These guys walk the line between the whole hip indie rock thing and good old fashioned punk and pop punk. My only qualm with “Smart & Stupid” is that its only  four songs and it left me wanting more.

Oh on a side note, the list Don Mattingly as an influence which is awesome because who doesn’t love Donny Baseball.

Here is a track from the record. Enjoy.
